Transparency & Public Records

Ririe Joint School District No. 252 is a public body, and most of its records are open to the public under the Idaho Public Records Act (Idaho Code §§ 74-101 through 74-126). We are committed to operating openly and making information easy to find.

Transparency reports & board policies

The district’s annual budget, audited financial statements, board meeting agendas and approved minutes, and the full board policy manual are public records. Current and recent documents are posted by the district office; older records are available on request.

How to request a record

  1. Put your request in writing. Describe the records you want as specifically as you can — a topic, date range, or document name helps us find them quickly.
  2. Send it to the district’s records custodian by mail, email, or in person using the contact information below.
  3. Let us know if you want to inspect the records in person or receive copies. Reasonable copying or labor fees may apply for large requests, as allowed by law; we will tell you any estimated cost first.

Response timelines

Under Idaho law, the district will grant or deny your request within three (3) working days. If more time is needed to locate or review records, we may take up to ten (10) working days and will notify you. If a request is denied, we will provide the legal reason in writing.

What we cannot release

Some records are exempt from disclosure, including student education records protected by the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and certain personnel and personally identifying information. See our Privacy & FERPA notice for how student records are handled.
